Grand Canyon University Esports

  TEAM ELIGIBILITY

• Each team must consist of five (5) main players that are students at the same accredited University/College. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (full-time student)
• Teams must only consist of players that are at most 2 rank differences during Episode 6, Act 1.
  • Example: Two (2) gold players, one (1) platinum player, and two (2) diamond ranked players would field an acceptable team.
  • Example: Two (2) gold players, two (2) platinum players, and one (1) ascendant player would NOT field an acceptable team.
• This tournament will be capped at 16 teams.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

• Each player must be a student at a University/College. Students must be enrolled as full-time students (at least 12 credit hours). 
• You must provide the following through the GCU Purple Rain VALORANT Series Registration Form:
• Proof of enrollment from your college/university (you can pull this from your registration office) 
• A copy of your current class schedule with your name and/or school credentials visible
• Each player must be 16 years of age or older.
• Each player must identify as a marginalized gender (including but not limited to cisgender woman, non-binary, or trans).

Player verification MUST be obtained through the GCU Purple Rain VALORANT Series Discord

Round Robin Gameplay: Weekly matches beginning February 20th, 2023

$5,000 prize pool will be split as follows*

First Place: $2,500

Second Place: $1,500 

Third Place: $1,000 

*Prize money is split equally among all the members of the team.
