Grand Canyon University Esports

Tyler Galvin is the Facility & Events Supervisor for Esports at Grand Canyon University. Tyler leads the Esports Programs’ event planning and operations, maintains GCU’s world class esports facility while also directly managing a team of student employees. Tyler comes to GCU Esports as a graduate from the Colangelo College of Business in 2021. Throughout Tyler’s career as a GCU student he found his passion for world travel, while also establishing a strong foundation in faith through Christ.

Prior to joining GCU Esports, Tyler was working in traditional sports with the NBA Basketball School Dubai, operating events and coaching competitive teams. While in Dubai, Tyler helped produce the NBA World Expo Experience, all while growing the NBA Basketball School Dubai into the premier Basketball School on the global stage. This experience has allowed Tyler to be a confident leader, innovator, and mentor to students, and young adults who are forging their own paths in the world.

Tyler was born in San Francisco, CA and eventually went on to attend high school in Beaverton, OR. Gaining experience in sports through a successful basketball career, Tyler eventually went on to produce basketball tournaments and engage in elite personal training for collegiate and professional players. Tyler draws inspiration from his relationship with the Lord, and the experiences he has had around the world which provide perspective in his daily life. Tyler is a resident of Phoenix and can be found on all major social media platforms.
